Clyde Luther Brown
(January 8, 1937 – January 26, 2016)
Clyde Luther Brown, 79, of New Hebron, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at his home after a long hard fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. He went to heaven to join his loved ones and finally to be at peace. Mr. Brown was a long time deacon at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rockport, MS. Bro. Phillip Douglas Bro. Michael Giles and Gary Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rockport, MS.
He is survived by: wife, Carolyn Smith Brown of New Hebron, MS, daughters, Pam Brown Lingle (Mark) of Mandeville, LA, Marlene Brown of Dallas, GA; sister – Virginia Korioth of Dallas, TX; nieces, Marsha Mallette (James) of Braxton, MS, Vonnie Howard (Randy) of Dallas, TX; grandchildren – Barrett Lingle of New York, NY, Morgan Gladson of Dallas, GA, Maddie Gladson of Dallas, GA; Stepdaughters, Tiffany Harlow (Jim) of Garner, NC, Bridgitte Harrell (Todd) of Chocowinity, NC, step-grandchildren, Haley Jensen of Chocowinity, NC, Grant Jensen of Chocowinity, NC, Megan Jensen of Chocowinity, NC, Josh Harlow of Garner, NC and Chloe Harlow of Garner, NC., and Father and Mother -in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus D. Smith of Chocowinity, NC.
He is preceded in death by: parents, Phillip and Maggie Holmes Brown and Brother – W.B. Brown.
