(8/10/1948 – 5/5/2024)

Clyde Delmon Owens, 75 of Mount Olive, MS went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at the Wesley Merit Health Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Tuesday, August 10, 1948 in Monticello, Arkansas.

A Memorial Service will be held by the family on Thursday May 9, 2024 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Raleigh. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Clyde was a simple man. You could often find him on his porch with a cup of coffee, watching tv while working a crossword puzzle, reading his Bible and learning about history, or wrapped up in a long conversation with a loved one or friend. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Clyde Owens; grandchild, Bailee Williamson; and 1 step-granddaughter

Survivors include his sons, Jason Reid Owens (Alicia) and Dennis Chadwick Owens; daughter, Rebecca Jill Owens Hodges; Tammy White (Joey), who was like a daughter; mother, Cuara Alberta Cooper Persons; grandchildren, Tyler Williamson, Jacob Williamson; brother, Steve Owens; sisters, Phyllis Thornton, Marsha Roland and Dolores Dickson; 3 great grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
