WHEREAS, Clean up Magee! is a community improvement initiative that envisions the City of Magee as a clean, green, and beautiful place to live.

WHEREAS, Clean up Magee! is the greatest community improvement program, engaging volunteers and participants to create positive change and lasting impact by providing a designated area for free disposal of tires, TVs, appliances, paint, and other household items. The central collection location is the City Barn on 326 Railroad Drive Southeast, Magee, Mississippi-behind Overflow Church- Monday through Saturday, April 1-6, 2024.

WHEREAS, the City of Magee has been working toward clean up in anticipation of the Simpson County Bicentennial. Clean up Magee! seeks to protect its natural resources and bring people together to transform public spaces into beautiful places and preserve its historic value.

WHEREAS, the City of Magee recognizes its responsibility to engage citizens, civic and government officials, and business leaders to work together to end littering, improve recycling, and beautify our community.

WHEREAS, the City of Magee is committed to elevate the importance of volunteerism and motivate everyone in our community to become stewards of the environment.

WHEREAS, observance of Clean up Magee!, urging all citizens to recognize this observance and join the City of Magee in its continued efforts to educate the citizens of Magee on the importance of litter abatement and desire to keep our city looking clean and green.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Dale Berry, Mayor of Magee, and the Board of Aldermen do hereby proclaim the week of April 1-6, 2024, as our municipality’s observance of Clean Up Magee!, urging all citizens to recognize this observance and join the City of Magee in its continued efforts to educate the citizens of Magee on the importance of litter abatement and desire to keep our city looking clean and green.

IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the official seal of the City of Magee to be
