Education Enhancement Fund transactions valuing more than $760,000 made so far following launch of digital platform

Who knew it would take so long to get the ball rolling.  Former Alderman Lane Steele told me—“everything moves slow”—and boy, he wasn’t kidding.

The City Hall office is in the midst of a much needed “face lift.”  The original furniture from when City Hall was the MP&L building is finally being replaced.

I paid a visit to City Hall Monday and the redo is looking good.  Ben Stephens is working hard at getting all the computers up and going.  I can’t imagine what

it took to figure out all those wires!  The plaque on the wall at the Magee Police Department states that MP&L turned the building over to the city in 1993.

Of course all the work is not compete (nor is the cleaning!)—but we’re getting there.  Pictured:  Amanda Seghini, Libby Shivers, Jennifer Rankin, and Ben Stephens.  (Kim Jackson not pictured)

I had forgotten about being the old MP&L office. Just like like you forgot to give any space or comment about the Magee Fire Department Awards last Thursday, 10-24. Seems like you or any of your agents failed to attend to pay respect to these dedicated men and their wives and family for their contributions and commitment to this town. You call yourself a leader of this town? How embarrassing, as well as Mark Grubbs. This town deserves better in its leaders. Seems that y’all won’t resign, so please just don’t run again!!
