Long time City of Magee attorney Bruce Smith announced his retirement at the Tuesday, December 8, 2021 Board meeting effective December 31, 2021.
Attorney Smith has served the City of Magee for 23 years, 6.5 as Alderman for Ward 2 and 17.5 years as city attorney.
“It was my pleasure to serve with many hardworking dedicated city employees over the years,” state Smith.
“I will miss most (but not all) of my time with the city of Magee. But it is time to move on. Thank you to all city employees who have helped me through the years,” continued Mr. Smith.
A new city attorney will be selected by the Board of Aldermen.
Smith was admitted to the bar in 1978.
