Christine Piper, 65, of Ellisville, Mississippi passed from this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.

“Chris” was born on February 27, 1950 in Raleigh, Mississippi to Otha and Ruby (Bratcher) Craft.

She grew up and attended school in Magee, Mississippi.
She and David Clare Piper were married in February 1971 in Livingston, Alabama, and they have lived for almost 40 years in Jones County, Mississippi.
She is survived by her husband David Piper Sr, and by her children; Ola Atwood; David Piper Jr. and his wife Tara; Sean Piper and his wife Leah; and Courtney Piper; her sisters, Jeanette McKissack; Geraldine Creel and her husband Garra D.; and Maxine Kemp and her husband Jerry; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Bethany Atwood, Dakota Atwood, Jesse Atwood, Waylon Walker, Samuel Piper, Dash Piper, Ali Clare Piper, Mykenzie Piper, and Flint Ahlberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Paul “Snoopy” Walker; her sister, Barbara Kemp and her grandson, Presley Gordon Walker.
Chris loved, and was loved, by her family, her innumerable friends, & her pets – Tink, Zoey, & Miss May.
Burial will be private at her family’s convenience in the Milton Mills Cemetery in Milton Mills, NH. There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, May 15th, 2015 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Lower Myrick Rd., Laurel, MS.
