Chris Runnels, 50,  passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital. He was born to his parents, Verlon ” Burr Rabbit” Runnels and Dianne Allen Runnels in Collins, MS.
Chris worked at Eaton Aerospace as a machinist. He was a simple man. He enjoyed playing the guitar and loved watching the Miami Dolphins.
He is survived by his father, Verlon “Burr Rabbit” Runnels; children, Jesse Runnels, Bayleigh Cook (Mikey), and Emma Grace Runnels; his brother, Ricky Runnels; girlfriend, Sharon Beasley and the mother of his children, Renee Rutland. He also leaves behind numerous family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dianne Runnels, and his brother, Edward Runnels.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services are at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 23, at Tutor Funeral Home, with interment following in Sharon Cemetery. Bro. Lavon Taylor will officiate the service.
Pallbearers are Ernest Cole, Brad Green, Jesse Runnels, Dwayne Rutland, and Brad Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers are Casey Eubanks and Oscar Gregory.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
