CHARLES RICE, MAGEE MS

Charles Rice, best known as Chucky in Mississippi and Chas after he moved away from his hometown of Magee, exhaled his last breath on November 3, 2019.

He was born on April 9, 1974, to Thomas Day Rice (deceased) and Patricia (McKeeby) Rice.

He served in the United States Marine Corps where he met and married his first wife, Kristy and had his children, Thomas Slater Rice and Faith Harley Rice. He later married his second wife, Teresa (Vendramin) Rice and gained three sons by marriage, Anthony Cooper, Marshall McClain and Maximus Verdramin.

He was a brother to Lori Craft and husband John, Daniel Rice and wife Sharon, Dustin Rice and wife Donna, Amber Mendoz and husband Joseph, Celeste Wade and husband David (deceased).

He was best known as Uncle C to Deanna, Desiree’, John Thomas, Daniel, Chris, Josh, Noah, McKenzie, Natalie, Avery, Dede, Ross, Jake, Emily and Douglas, as well as a bunch more through his marriage. He was a thrilled grandfather of two girls.

He leaves behind so many incredible people that he loved and held inside his heart and also, so many people who loved him back.

If you are ever in a dark place and can’t find your way out, think of Chas and remember how many people you don’t realize that have an extended hand for you. Just reach out and grab it.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Spoken reflections will be read at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to share memories.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
