D’Lo, MS
Charles Jerry Lee passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was 77 years of age. He was born on September 16, 1942, to the late Elijah Honor and Ruth Edwards Lee in Jackson, MS.

He was a graduate of Mendenhall High School before graduating with a BS in History from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and then a Juris Doctor Degree from the Jackson School of Law in Jackson.

Jerry retired in March of this year from the Corvel Corporation where he was responsible for many accounts of the State of Mississippi. He worked out of the Jackson area. He was never one to sit still so he remained with Corvel as a consultant. Prior to this, Jerry taught school with the Crystal Springs school system. He worked as a claim adjuster with the AIG Insurance Company whose home office is in Dallas, TX., Safety Risk Services in Ridgeland as a claims adjuster and the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. He was a licensed Louisiana and Mississippi adjuster.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his closest cousins, Charles Anthony Tapie and wife Patricia, Kathren Helen Tapie Novak and husband John and Michael William Tapie.

Due to current health guidelines related to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, private graveside services will be held on April 20, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at D’Lo Cemetery. Those who wish to view the service may do so online via Livestream on Tutor Funeral Home Facebook Page.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
