Thanks to Holly Williams, the Veterans Day Parade is set for Tuesday, November 11th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Line-up will take place near the Baptist Church.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Three-Star General Scott Hubbard, a proud native of Magee. “Anyone can ride in the parade,” said Williams. “The more, the better!”

The Magee National Guard will serve as the main feature of the parade, showcasing several of their combat vehicles. Motorcycles from the newly reopened Magee American Legion Post 93 will also participate, along with other veteran support groups from across the county. The Hellfighter Motorcycle Organization and Ministry Group will join as well.

“We have the Magee High School Band and, hopefully, the cheerleaders,” explained Williams. Several county and city law enforcement agencies will take part, along with a lineup of classic cars.

Following the parade and program, lunch will be served. The Magee Fire Department will prepare the meat, while local businesses will provide side dishes. Door prizes will also be given out!

If you’re interested in participating in the event, please contact Holly at 601-808-0213.
