Carol W. King passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the age of 78.  He was born on December 1, 1939, to the late Hobbs and Bertha (Simpson) King in Raymond, MS.
 He received his bachelor’s degree in Soil Conservation from Southeastern Louisiana University.  In 1965, he became Simpson County’s Soil Conservationist.  In 1978, he was ordained as a Minister and established Riverside Chapel Church, where he served as Pastor for forty years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his church, church family and Simpson Academy football. He also was a proud member of the Republican Party. But mostly, he was a loving husband, father, brother, son and pastor.  He was grateful for a life shared with all.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Jimmie Stingley King; children, Grecian Blair (Tommy), Celeste Holyfield (Wade), Earl Brown (Pat); grandchildren, Bradley Blair (Jennifer), Justin Blair (Maegan), Hannah Hill (Charlie), Haleigh Holyfield; great-grandchildren, Ada Blair, Camden Deweese and Kendall Deweese.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy; and nephew, Bill.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS. from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.   A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in Tutor Chapel with interment following in Southern Memorial Garden Cemetery in Magee, MS.
Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Wounded Warrior’s, woundedwarriorproject.Org. or St. Jude Hospital, givestjude.org.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee, MS.
