Carol Jean (Byrd) Dunn, age 52, passed away on , Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Ochsner Medical Center in Louisiana. She was born in El Paso, Texas on February 22, 1969, to George William Byrd and Brenda Carol (Bush) Byrd.
Carol was a graduate of Mendenhall High School and later attended the Practical Nursing Program at Hinds Community College where she obtained her nursing degree. She enjoyed fishing and taking care of the stray animals she often picked up. But what she enjoyed most of all was spending time with her family. Carol was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family unconditionally.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Bruce Dunn; daughter, Randi Mae Dunn, brother, Charles Byrd and sister, Lisa Byrd Bryant (Danny).
She was preceded by her parents, George and Brenda Byrd.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS. Services are at 3:00 p.m. in Tutor Chapel with interment following in Southern Memorial Gardens in Magee. Bro. Barry Warren will officiate the service.
