Retired Police Officer Carl Travis Lee passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at the age of 85.

He joined the Houston Police Department on March 4, 1957, Academy Class #16. During his tenure with the department, he was assigned to the Patrol Bureau and the Dispatcher’s Office. Police Officer Lee retired on May 24, 1982.

He was born to Silas C. Lee and Bessie (Little) Lee on May 22, 1935. He grew up in Pinola, MS.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine Lee; sons, Gary Sullivan, Nick Conley Lee; and one granddaughter, Meghan Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Connie Atwood, Lynn McAlpin and Mary Lois Palmer.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Corinth Baptist Church, 207 Church Road, Magee, MS from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The graveside service will be at 2:00 pm at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Jay Wesbrooks officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
