The Scriptural passage for today is found in Luke 11:13: “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Jesus was teaching believers about prayer in this cluster of verses, telling them that just as man, although flawed, gives good gifts to his children, how much more will God give to us the Holy Spirit as the ultimate gift if we but ask. Are you on intimate terms with the Holy Spirit? He has been appointed by God to be our guide and comforter, our present help in time of trouble. Call on Him. Rely on Him. Get to know Him through prayer. Give him a front-row seat in your heart. You’ll never be sorry. Amen!
