Eleven-year-old Brett Kelly, a student at Mendenhall Elementary, will be heading to Australia in April to compete in the Australian Masters.
Brett is ranked #1 in the 11U division in Mississippi by U.S. Kids Golf. Brett balances school work and training. He trains at the Simpson County Golf Course.
Brett has earned his place among the state’s top young players through discipline, patience, and a quiet determination. While many kids his age are still discovering what they enjoy, Brett already knows—golf isn’t just a hobby, it’s a passion. It’s a moment that reflects years of practice, early mornings, and countless swings taken under the Mississippi sun.
Behind Brett every step of the way are his parents, Bi Kelly and Matthew Kelly, whose support and belief have helped shape both his game and his character. They’ve watched him grow not only as a golfer, but as a young man who understands the value of hard work, humility, and respect for the game.
From the fairways of Simpson County to the international stage, Brett Kelly’s journey is just beginning. And no matter where golf takes him next, one thing is clear—his story is being written one swing at a time
I hope you will enjoy the interview! He did a great job!
