Brad White

Brad White, executive director of MDOT,  spoke before the Simpson County Council of Government meeting on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Mendenhall Civic Center.  Brad, a Simpson County native, has served as Chief of Staff under Governor Tate Reeves; former chairman of the state Republican Party; and former Chief of Staff for Cindy Hyde Smith and the late Senator Thad Cochran.  Brad served as an assistant to former Transportation Director Dick Hall from 1999-2005.  Brad is familiar with the working of MDOT and has a host of contacts.

Brad talked about the “strings” attached to spending federal dollars.  “We must be diligent in how we spend our money, “ stated White.  Several projects are in the works for paving in Simpson County.
