Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 05, 2022 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee for Bonnie Layton Rowe, 92, of Mendenhall, who passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital. Interment will be at New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mendenhall. Bro. Harold Floyd, Bro. Glen Jennings, and Bro. Pete Pearson will officiate the services. Jane Griffith will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.

She loved her family very much and was a great cook and seamstress. Bonnie was a hard worker all her life.  She was a poultry and cattle farmer and a faithful church member.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husbands, Hilmon Valentine and Lawrence  Rowe;  parents, Coy and  Minnie Layton;  brothers, Cordell  Layton, Bernice  Layton, Curt  Layton, J.C.  Layton and Travis Layton; sisters, Ann Smith, Myrt Arender and Cecil Bynum.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Glenda Ponder (Bill), Lenda Valentine and Joyce Maddox (Rickey); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
