Bobbie Sue Hefner, 88, of D Lo, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Monday, October 12, 2020, at her home in D Lo, Mississippi. She was born Monday, May 16, 1932, in Winfield, Alabama.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Braxton, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Braxton City Cemetery. Bro. Lance Varner will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Mrs. Hefner was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Braxton.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hefner; parents, Odis Ward and Wilkie B. Smith Ward; two daughters, Beverly Ann McKay King and Brenda Jo McKay Sutton; two sisters, Loree Hefner and Ruby Dean Young.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Judy McKay Gober and husband, James of D’Lo; five grandchildren, James Ray Sutton and wife, Dawn of Florence, Angela Knighten and husband, Larry of Braxton, Marci McCollum and husband, Danny of Brandon, James Gober, Jr. and wife, Tracy of Mendenhall and Charity Welch and husband, David of Mendenhall; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jim Gober, David Welch, Josh McCollum, Justin Gober, Gabe Gober, and Jacob Gober.
