Bobbie Jean Ponder Tuggle
(January 22, 1931 – June 2, 2022)

Bobbie Jean Ponder Tuggle, 91 of Pearl, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the Merit Health Rankin in Brandon, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, January 22, 1931, in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel at 302 8th Avenue SW, Magee, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Magee City Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Brother Gary Roberts will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Mrs. Bobbie was a member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl, Mississippi.  She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She attending Magee High School and then went and obtained her cosmetology training at The R & D Center in Jackson, Mississippi.  After retirement, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Tuggle; daughters, Betty Ware and Barbara Jo Ware Davis; father, William Ponder; mother, Pheobe Bishop Ponder; brother, Ray Ponder; and sisters, Wille Mae Ponder Denton, Catherine Ponder Miley and Carolyn Ponder Neil.

Survivors include her son, Daniel “DW” Ware (Angela) of Pearl, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Stephanie Ware Wilson (Russell) of Florence, Mississippi, David Ware (Tanya) of Pearl, Mississippi and Jeff Davis (Lori) of Tennessee; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Mason (Sydni) of Pelahatchie, Mississippi, Tucker Ware of Pearl, Mississippi, Shelby Sebren (Kenny) of Florence, Mississippi and Brandon Wilson (Alex) of Mendenhall, Mississippi; two great-great grandchildren, Novalynn Sebren of Florence, Mississippi and Casey Wilson of Mendenhall, Mississippi; two brothers, Paul Ponder (Martha) of Madison, Mississippi, and Bill Ponder (Glenda) of Brandon, Mississippi; one sister, Lerah Ponder Busby of Mendenhall, Mississippi; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Ware, Tucker Ware, Hunter Mason, and Brandon Wilson.
