Billy ‘David’ Rogers, age 54, of Magee, Mississippi, passed away on November 18, 2025. Born and raised in Magee to Billy and Bobbie Rogers, he remained deeply rooted in the community he loved throughout his life.
David was married to his wife, Charlotte Rogers, and was a proud and loving father to: Adriana Warren(BJ), Ashley Hux(Dawson), and Deidre Hammer(Trent). He especially cherished his role as “Pop Pop” to his grandchildren, Braxton and Rosabella Warren, Zoe and Brynlee Hux, and Caroline Hammer, who brought endless joy to his life.
A skilled welder and machinist, David worked at Georgia-Pacific since 2011, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and quiet dedication. Outside of work, he found happiness in the outdoors—hunting, fishing, and spending time working on his boat. More than anything, David treasured time spent with his family.
Those who knew him describe David as humble, sweet, kind-hearted, reliable, generous, and selfless. He touched the lives of many with his gentle spirit and unwavering support.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in Magee, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. Rev. Larry Dennis Jr. will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Pallbearers will be James Eason, Dawson Hux, Trent Hammer, Trinity Harris, Johnny Lucas, Chris Keyes, Donnie Barnes, and Bo Cobb.
David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
