Billy Daniel “Bill” Robinson, age 75 of Biloxi, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019.

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his father and mother, T.L. and Naomi Robinson; and his brother, Charlie.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Teresia Howell Robinson; his son Howard, (Kelly); his grandson, Jack; and his sister, Kathy Mullins (Jerry).

Bill was born in Magee, MS, attended Mize High School and Jones County Junior College where he was a member of the Bobcat Football Squad. He graduated from USM (BS) and William Carey (MEd). Bill was a PE teacher and coach in Biloxi Schools for 30 years. During that time, he received numerous awards for his advanced teaching methods that included; MAHPERD (President / Pride in Teaching Award), SDAAHPERD (Service Award), AAHPERD (Secondary Physical Education for MS), Middle and Secondary PE Teacher of the Year (National Association for Sport and PE), and State of MS Coordinator (Jump Rope for Heart). In addition he was an adjunct teacher for USM.

Bill had many hobbies including woodworking, street rods and was a hybrid daylily enthusiast. He was a garden judge, exhibition judge and exhibition judge instructor. He was a member of HADS, MGCDS, and Past President of Region 14 Daylily Society. Bill had the honor of having three daylilies named after him; BILL ROBINSON, MISSISSIPPI BILL ROBINSON and HERE’S TO YOU MR. ROBINSON. Bill was a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church of Biloxi where he was a deacon and a greeter.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 3, 2019, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM, at Parkway Baptist Church in Biloxi, with a Memorial Service starting at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Building Fund at Parkway Baptist Church, 17284 HWY 67 Biloxi, MS 39532 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/give.htm

The Family wishes to thank Romona, Denise and Debrah (Encompass), Maggie (Canon) and Nette and Taylor (Nurses).

RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd. Biloxi, is serving the family.
