Betty Jean Williams, 90 of Mendenhall, MS passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Hillcrest Nursing Center in Magee, MS. She was born Thursday, January 17, 1935 in Jackson, MS.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 10:30 am at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS. Bro. Mickey Ferguson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
Betty attended school in Clinton, MS. She worked at Rankin County Children’s Emergency Shelter for numerous years. She loved her family and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Williams; father, Alvin Youngblood, Sr.; mother, Eunice Turner Youngblood; grandchildren, Stephanie Barr Williams, Wesley Williams; brother, Edward Youngblood; and sister, Frances Youngblood Thornton.
Survivors include her sons, Dwight Williams (Betty) of Mendenhall, MS and Jerry Williams (Jo) of Mendenhall, MS; daughter, Wanda Pagart O`Dowd (Les) of Mendenhall, MS; grandchildren, Dwight Williams, Jr. (Heather), Brooke Lindgren (Matt), Brian Williams (Veronica), Kevin Viator (Nicely), Cindy Davis (Jeremy), Jesse Pagart, Jr. (Hailey), Blake Pagart (Jessica) and Tyler Pagart (Alyssa); brother, Alvin Youngblood, Jr. (Nancy); and several great and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dwight Williams Jr., Brian Williams, Jesse Pagart Jr., Blake Pagart, Tyler Pagart, and Jeremy Davis.
