I think everyone in Magee knew Pee Wee. Most of us expected him to get run over by an 18-wheeler at the McDonald’s red light. I have watched him cross that highway holding up his arm to the big trucks…
Pee Wee was a member of the First Baptist Church choir. As the choir entered the choir loft, here would come Pee Wee motoring to the front. Pee Wee loved to sing loud…even if he didn’t know the words. He set near me in church, and he was faithful in attendance.
So many people have written tributes to Pee Wee on Facebook. I think one of the best was written by Maxine Kelly: “The king of the road as he called himself , is now running on the streets of heaven ! Pee Wee lost the battle to cancer this morning . He fought a good fight his will remained strong till the very end , all who know him will rejoice PEE WEE has legs he is free for the first time in his life he can walk, run, and have the great time of he so deserves !!”
Feel free to share your Pee Wee story. Pee Wee never gave up. He kept on pushing. Boswell tried to keep him off the roads. But Pee Wee had a mind of his own.
