The Scriptural passage for today is found in Psalm 37:7: “Be still before the Lord and waiting patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” Again, we have the psalmist advising in song and poetry a proper approach to God and what He has in store for us. He realizes that God’s time and ours aren’t the same. Also, we, God’s people, are a separate people, set apart, and we should never look at ourselves as being on the same plane with those of the world. This is not our final home. We’re pilgrims on a journey, just passing through. We should have no interest in the schemes of the worldly. Instead, we should be concerned about laying up our treasures in Heaven where there will be no rust, deceit, or corruption.
Happy Monday!
