The Band and Colette Chapter of the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Alumni Association is sponsoring its sixth annual Princess Ball for fathers and daughters on Feb. 4 at the Thames Center on the Wesson campus.

The ball is open to fathers, grandfathers and father figures and girls ages 4-15. The event will be separated into two sessions, the first from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and the second from 8-10 p.m. Girls of any age can come to either session. Tickets to the event are $30 per couple and $10 for each additional child. The cost of the ticket includes refreshments and ballroom dance instruction. Dress for the event is formal, and photography will be available for an additional fee. Tickets can be purchased at the alumni office and online at www.colin.ed/alumni. No tickets will be available at local banks this year.

The purpose of the event is to raise money to fund the Clyde Wilson scholarship for band and Colette students. Band and Colette Alumni Chapter past president and event organizer Mark Hamilton said the event is the first and best of its kind in the area, and not only will it be an opportunity for the organization to raise funds, but it is an opportunity for fathers and daughters to connect.
