Local Magee residents, Ashely and Shane Steel, have faced the unimaginable this year.  Ashley was diagnosed with  aggressive leukemia.

I interviewed Ashely & Shane Wednesday morning, July 29, 2020, just before they were heading out for an appointment at UMMC in Jackson for blood work.

Sue interviewing Ashley and Shane Steele

Their journey is a touching story of love, dedication, and perseverance.  The Steeles are a family who have drawn strength from one another, from their families, and from their large circle of friends.

The journey has not ended.  Shane and Ashley are still in the middle of a long tough battle.  Their courage is an inspiration to anyone facing difficult times.  Their love for the Lord is evident in every step of their lives.

The video is long but I hope you will take time to listen.  I really can’t tell their story as well as they can!  Seeing their faces, hearing their voices, and listening to their words helps one to understand their path.

Ashley and Shane have a positive attitude.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone who is so positive and assured in their love for Jesus and His love for them.

Prayers are continually needed.  The journey could be 5 years of treatment.  Yes, Ashley is a miracle.  She has shocked the doctors with her walk toward health.

Thank you Ashley and Shane for allowing me into your world.
