The tassel has been turned on yet another graduating class. Magee High School Class of 2022 has officially graduated.

Graduation took place Thursday, May 26, 2022, on Trojan Field. 92 students walked across the field to receive their diplomas.

Magee High School faculty and staff served as ushers for the evening.

Kaden Harper presented the Historian Address followed by Alyssa Payne with the Salutatorian Address. Mackenzye Yates competed the speeches with the Valedictorian Address.

 

The Class of 2022 has recevied over $750,000 in scholarships and 857 hours in community service.

Magee High School Counselor April Williams verified all candidates had met requirements for graduation. Mr. Bill Broadhead and Dr. Marion Lacey presented Diplomas to the students.

After all Diplomas were presented Ms. Alyssa Payne, Student Body President, led the Benediction.

Magee High School Principal Bill Broadhead led in the Turning of the Tassel.

The Class of 2020 chose red as the class color and the red carnation as the class flower. The Class Moto “Be the change you wish to see in the world” and the class song was “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus.

 

Valedictorian was Mackenzye Yates, Salutatorian – Alyssa Payne and Historian – Kaden Harper.

Students exited in two single filed lines to the end zone area of the filed where the traditional tossing of the hats took place.
