Annette Thornton, 84 of Pearl, MS passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at her home in Pearl, MS. She was born Sunday, July 9, 1939 in Birmingham, Alabama.

   Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Bobby Kuhn will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

  She was preceded in death by her son, Ronny Thornton;  parents, Preston and  Catherine  Watkins  Garrett;  grandson, Brian Thornton;  brothers, Billy Ray  Garrett and Preston  Garrett, Jr.;  sisters, Jean  Penland, Mickey  Criswell and Charlotte  Adams.

  Survivors include her two sons, Kendall E Thornton, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Florence , MS and Joe  A Thornton (Cindy) of Brandon , MS;  grandchildren, Brent  Thornton  (Trish) of Louisville, KY, Chris Thornton  of Jackson , MS, Joshua  Thornton  (Julie) of Florence , MS, and Cody  Thornton of Pearl , MS;  eight great- grandchildren; sisters, Sandra  Ourso  of Marrero, LA and Marie  Allen (Gary) of TX;  and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
