Lion Chris Caughman sponsored the program for the Magee Lions Club by bringing in Andrew Vincent, Director of Camp Kamassa. He explained the role of the Camp was to host camping experiences for a variety of groups who support persons with disabilities or medical challenges.

The camp, located near Crystal Springs, celebrated their Grand Opening recently and boasts accessible facilities for campers and also has cabins for family members. The camp has a lake with an accessible dock for canoeing, a pool, indoor and outdoor recreation areas, baseball field, soccer field, cafeteria, and an infirmary.

Some of the groups partnering with the camp are organizations that support persons with kidney disease, visual impairments, autism, wheelchair athletes, sickle cell disease, cancer, Down Syndrome, and more.
