Amanda Jo Saulters passed away on April 29, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was born on April 25, 1985, to Jerry Wayne Saulters and Kim Abel Saulters in Flowood, MS.

Amanda grew up in the close-knit Star community. She attended McLaurin School with the same close friends from kindergarten on. She was very active in sports, including cheerleading and softball.

Amanda was the first grandchild for Papaw and Mimi Abel yet one of many for Papaw and Mamaw Sumrall. She was adored by her family and her passing leaves a huge void in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her very special uncle, Danny Pope.

She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Kim Saulters; paternal grandparents, James and Wanda Sumrall; maternal grandparents, Philip and Pamela Abel; two brothers, Justin Saulters and his wife, Olivia, Will Saulters and his wife Hannah, and nephew and niece, Miles and Charlotte.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Tutor Funeral Home, 3035 Hwy 13 S, Mendenhall, MS 39114 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 4, at Goodwater Baptist Church, Magee, MS with Bro. Johnny Sykes officiating. Interment will follow in Goodwater Cemetery.
