Amanda M Ball, born on September 8, 1975, in Jackson, Mississippi to James Haywood (Jim) Ball of Magee and Joy Ann Byrd Ball. Amanda entered eternal rest on February 9, 2026. For the past 25 years, Byram had been more than just a residence for Amanda; it was a place she cherished dearly and where she created lasting memories.
Outside of her career, she was a vibrant spirit who found joy in the outdoors, basking in the sun, and enjoying countless days at the beach. Her passionate love for nature was matched only by her dedication to her family and friends. Amanda derived happiness from the smiles of her loved ones and was known for her generous heart, always giving of herself to those around her. Her love for animals, particularly her grand fur babies, brought her immense pride and joy.
Amanda attended Relate Church in Byram. She often relished in evenings spent playing bunco with friends, creating bonds that turned into cherished memories. Those memories will persist in the hearts of those who knew her, a testament to a life filled with love, laughter, and shared moments that will not be forgotten.
She is survived by her father, Jim Ball, and his wife, Ann; her daughter, Myrial Ball, and her fiancé, Troy Jones; as well as her half-siblings, Leanne Mooney-Scilingo, Brian Jantz, and Scott Mooney; and her step-siblings, Maryann Childres, Amanda Teater, and Jim Bob Dale.
Amanda is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Joy Ann Wortman, and her wife, Larissa Boyd.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Amanda’s honor to Pines and Cady Hill Recovery Center, 1011 Main Street, Columbus, MS 39701, phone-662-327-7916
