Allen Rudolph Spangler, 82, of Magee, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at V.A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Funeral services for Mr. Spangler will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, MS with Mims Mitchell/Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in Magee.
Mr. Spangler was born was born Wednesday, June 7, 1933 in Smith County, MS. He was a retired drill press operator for Siemens Company in Jackson, MS. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by son Allen R. Spangler, Jr., Magee, MS, four step-sons W.B. Fortenberry, Mendenhall, MS, Bobby Fortenberry, Edwards, MS, Joe Fortenberry, Brookhaven, MS, Paul Fortenberry, Magee, MS, 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: parents R.T. and Dollie Spangler, wife Earlene Spangler and two brothers and one sister.
