All unmanned aircraft systems weighing between half a pound and 55 pounds must be register before flight, if purchased after December 21, 2015. Those who purchased prior to December 21st have until February 19, 2016 to register. Registration will be free for the first 30 days, then $5 afterwards. Only 13 years and older can register a drone.
