Not me!!! But a drone seems to be the hottest gift of the season! The hover board was running neck n neck until facts about the boards safety became an issue…so now…it’s a drone!

Drones can range in price from $30 to $150,000 (according to  drone power desired!).

The FAA has begun regulating drones. The rules are pretty simple: Don’t fly by airports; Don’t fly over 400 feet; and Don’t fly for commercial purposes.

If you are purchasing a drone for business use, you’ve just fallen into another category.
20 hours of getting approved by the FAA is just one of the requirements.

It’s not that I don’t think drones are the wave of the future in agriculture and other type businesses…but as with anything…what you know and what you spend make a huge difference.

Many cities have banned the use of drones. Several university stadiums do not allow drones. (MSU & UM).

All unmanned aircraft systems weighing between half a pound and 55 pounds must be register before flight, if purchased after December 21, 2015. Those who purchased prior to December 21st have until February 19, 2016 to register. Registration will be free for the first 30 days, then $5 afterwards. Only 13 years and older can register a drone. The FAA predicts sales of over 1 million drones in 2015.

Merry Christmas to you drone lovers!
