Alex Henry Henderson, 56 of Taylorsville, Mississippi passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, December 30, 1965 in Smith County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church at 2807 Hwy 37, Raleigh, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. Special music will be performed by Mrs. Dana Vowell and Mr. Bruce Gable. The burial will follow in Unity Methodist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Brother Rich Ables will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564
Mr. Alex was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Raleigh, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, building things, spending time outdoors, but most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Barr Henderson; father, Billy Henderson; mother, Betty Jordan Henderson; brother-in-law, Paul Dennis.
Survivors include his sons, AJ Henderson and Dustin Henderson (Dana) both of Taylorsville; step-sons, Caleb Dukes (Shelby) of Petal and Lee Dukes (Kimberly) of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren, DJ Henderson, Jordan Henderson, Colton Henderson, Brantley Henderson, Anna Katherine Dukes, Victoria Dukes and Tristan Dukes and Molly Sullivan; brother, Wayne Henderson (Becky) of Taylorsville; sister, Judy Henderson Dennis of Taylorsville; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chris Dennis, Jason Henderson, Aaron Henderson, Cameron Henderson, Neil Kelley, Josh Vowell, Shannon Bruce, and Jason Butler. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Henderson, Terry Blackwell and Jaden Henderson.
