Alba M. Yelverton Garner, always known as Albaree, 92, of Magee passed away December 11, 2020 at Magee General Hospital. She was born October 29, 1928, to Marie Yelverton Ware and James Albert Yelverton.

She was a homemaker and an active member of Sharon Presbyterian Church for many years where she had served as a WIC officer and youth teacher.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee. Dr. Mike Ahlberg will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Albaree was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Hubert Ray Garner; parents; daughter, Karon Garner Craft; son, Ricky Garner; sister, Rosemary Smith; and brother, James Oscar Yelverton.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Dessie Garner of Magee; granddaughter, Shonta Craft May, (Chris) of El Dorado Arkansas; grandson, Michael Craft of Mendenhall; sister Texine Gregory, of Townsend, Tennessee; brother, David Yelverton, (Norma) of Magee; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery Association 373 Albert Runnels Road Magee, Mississippi.

Due to covid-19 the family requests that all attendees wear masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
