Agnes L. Jenkins Windham, 93, of Petal, MS died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her residence in Petal. She was born Sunday, December 17, 1922 in Neely, MS.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery. Rev. Charles Herrin will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031
Ms. Agnes was a charter member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Petal, where she was a very active member. She began her 36 year nursing career at the Mississippi State Sanatorium for Tuberculosis.
She is preceded in death by: husband- Buford Leo Windham; son – David L.”Mike” Windham; parents – Henry E. Jenkins and Lida Smith Jenkins; Daughter-in-law – Diane Windham.
Survivors include her sons – Leo Windham of Sanatorium and Jimmie Windham (Brenda) of Hattiesburg; brother – Eugene Jenkins of Hattiesburg; daughter-in-law – MaryAnn Windham of Pelahatchie. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in Magee.
