Check out this link from newsMS.—the poll shows that Mississippians want fast action on roads and bridges. (Also, click on view the full poll)
My question is????? Our county has already sunk a lot of money into the repair of our bridges. The money was OUR county money (Emergency bond). Are we going to be reimbursed for the money we have already spent that other counties will now receive from the State?
(Simpson County was one of the first counties to experience the inspections and bridge closures (2017). Simpson County immediately addressed the problem taking care of our residents to have access to their roads.)
In 2017, only 1/2 of the county bridges were inspected. Guess what? Inspections will resume in late summer/early fall. Here we go again!
I just want to be sure we get paid for what we already addressed! Contact your legislature!
