Magee’s Ace Central Building Supply celebrated 75 years of service Friday, November 12, 2021.
A large crowd was in attendance for the event. Magee Chamber of Commerce honored the business with a certificated for continued years of service and support. A ribbon ceremony was held in celebrations of the years past.
Five generations have worked for the family owned business. Central Wholesale was founded in 1946 by Walter J. Johnston. The store served rural ares with non-perishable grocery items. Lavon and Kate Womack became the second owners, followed by Jean and Ted Allen, and now Allyson Burch.
