Above all, be kind

The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Romans 8:38-39: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height not depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.” The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God! Amen! In two verses, the gospel writer sums up the credo of the Christian. We have absolute assurance that nothing can separate us from the love of God once we repent, accept His gift of salvation, and begin our walk with Him. What a comfort for any individual in this life of struggle, disappointment, and despair. Let us diligently seek God’s favor, rely on His promises, and thank Him for His marvelous saving grace. Reach out to someone today. Offer love and encouragement. But above all, be kind.
