Shenia Diane Bass passed away on January 26, 2026, at her residence in Florence, MS. She was born on February 23, 1952, to Vernon Turnage and Ruby Cameron Turnage in Simpson County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Ruby Turnage, and her three brothers, Benji Turnage, Mickey Turnage, and Roger Turnage.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gray Bass of Florence; son, Christopher Hosey (Lisa of Florence); daughter, Shenia Brown (Mitchell) of Mendenhall; sister, Jean Babcock of Michigan; six grandchildren, Ashley Jones (Bret) of Greenville, Brittany Prince (Landis) of Florence, Jeffrey Brown (Shannon) of Mendenhall, Courtney Bray (Rob) of Raleigh, Destiny Searles (Emmitt) of Mendenhall, John Thomas Brown of Mendenhall and twelve great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS, at 2:00 PM. The family will have a private interment at a later date.
