Friday was a beautiful day for a parade! The skies welcomed our Veterans on their special day!
I love the Veterans Day Parade! Being able to say thank you to these men and women who fought for our freedom is humbling. In another article, I wrote about the happenings of today. I decided to write about what I saw from the golf cart!

Adults and young people lined the parade route. The Magee High School and Middle Students were allowed to watch the parade and wave their flags. I am pleased to say that over-all, the Magee students were great! They cheered and waved….when they were not on their phones! I was proud of these kids! They responded well!

As I rode those veterans in the golf cart, I knew what I was seeing…but what were those men seeing. I truly believe they saw love and gratitude. I believe they “felt your love.” I believe they saw your joy. In life, we never know what another person is seeing, feeling, or needing. These men needed your love, approval, and thanks. We all need those things. If we can just teach our children to appreciate others, we will have succeeded in one of the main goals of parenthood. You never know when someone is looking!

Firehouse Subs Coming to Magee!

Pictured with me in golf cart is Eugene Cook, Kenneth Bishop and his wife.

Oh, on another golf cart story…as Patrice and I were traveling back to the office from the Community House, we came to the all way stop at the church. Every “spot” had a vehicle. We set there…one car went…another pulled up (almost like the old times when old highway 49 had a bunch of traffic)…another truck starts across the highway, gets almost to me, stops and signals for me to go (we thought!) …just as I hit the “gas,” the truck lunges forward! I almost had a heart attack and scream a “bad” word at the top of my lungs. Patrice was screaming “he told us to go…he gold us to go.” Needless to say, the guy in another truck who was watching everything got an ear full! Be careful during in down town Magee!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
See if you can find your child!
