The Scriptural passage selected for this morning is found in Proverbs 14:29: “A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly.” Have we not seen the special spirit displayed by those who are patient and kind? Patience is one “gift” for which I constantly pray and strive to make a part of my character. God does not bless the hot-headed or ill-tempered, but the patient, kind, and loving are singled out for special blessings. Lord, let us be counted among the latter and never thought of as being foolish. Amen! The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God!
