STARKVILLE – Once again, Mississippi State’s student-athletes succeeded in the classroom during the fall semester, posting a 3.16 GPA. It marked MSU’s seventh consecutive semester with a department GPA of 3.0 or better, and 42 Bulldogs earned their degrees in December.

State’s 3.16 GPA is tied for the Bulldogs’ highest on record, not counting the spring 2020 semester when all MSU students were afforded the option to accept a pass/fail grade instead of a letter grade.

The golf programs led the way with Dusty Smith‘s men’s golfers posting the highest GPA among MSU’s men’s team at 3.63, which stands as their best fall semester in program history. The women’s golf team led all teams at MSU with a 3.79 GPA, which also stands as their best fall on record.

More than half of the MSU’s student-athletes earned a spot on the Bulldog Honor Roll with 268 of 407 student-athletes posting a GPA of 3.0 or better. Of those, 94 turned in a 3.80 or better semester, and 67 were named “Top Dawgs” with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Women’s track and field (14) and women’s soccer (10) had the most Top Dawgs in the department, while 52 members of Mike Leach‘s football program earned Bulldog Honor Roll recognition.
