Mavis Marie Cone McCoy of Pinola, Mississippi

January 18, 1932 – May 14, 2019

Mavis Marie Cone McCoy, 87, of Pinola, passed away on May 14, 2019.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Bro. Trent Sullivan, Pastor of Mt Zion Baptist Church in Simpson County, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman McCoy; parents, Roy Cone and Mae Bell Smith Cone; brother, Euthen Cone; sisters, Jewel Cone and Helen Cone Allen.

Survivors are sister, Glennie Cone Moore; brother, Joe Cone; nieces: Betty Cone Phillips, Barbara Cone Miller, Janice Turner, and Maduine Allen; nephews: Lance Cone, Dean Cone, Randal Cone, and Bob Moore.

After graduation at Pinola High School, she worded for South Central Bell Telephone Co. for 37 years in Jackson. She loved her Lord and church where she served as Book Keeper for over 20 years. She loved her pets, flowers, and collecting antiques. Above all, she loved her family and friends.
