The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 1 Peter 2:9: “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him, Who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” The apostle, again and again through his writings, wanted to impress upon the early Christians just how special they were to God and to the spreading of His kingdom here on earth. Today, we, too, are offered that same message of assurance that we are dearly loved of God and share in His favor and eternal love. He has set us apart, made us special as His own, and wishes to bestow us with good things. He is love, and we, as His children, are loved Let us never take that love for granted. Praise God from whom all blessings flow, indeed! Amen!
