The Bears then looked to close out the first half with more points as they lined up for a 51-yard field goal attempt. However, the Wolves special teams unit came through as Mike Williams (Natchez) blocked the kick while Daniel Watkins (Flowood) recovered the ball and returned it to the Co-Lin 38-yard line. The Wolves offense then ran out the clock to end the first half sending the teams to the locker rooms with the Wolves leading, 14-7.

Four plays later, the Bears scored their second touchdown; however, Jy Cook (Ellisville) got the second blocked kick of the night for the Wolves special teams unit on the PAT attempt keeping the Wolves lead at 14-13 with 6:59 left in the third quarter.
The Wolves then responded on their next possession as Ja’Quan Bentley powered the ball in from one yard out to end an 11 play, 75-yard drive. The Wolves added their final touchdown in the fourth as they attempted a fourth down conversion that saw Kendarious Porter (Magee) burst through the Bears line and scamper in from 33 yards out to end a nine play, 80-yard drive. Another PAT by Jones increased the lead to 28-13 with 8:31 left.
