The Scriptural passage selected is found in Psalm 62: 1-2: “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will never be shaken.” What a beautiful declaration from the psalmist of his total devotion to and reliance upon his Lord, his Master, his Maker. Do we have enough faith to make our own declaration? We should, because we serve the very same God, Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Let us openly declare our allegiance while singing the chorus to the old hymn “Trust and Obey”: “Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” Amen!
