Mulford Calvin “Mutt” Pittman
(January 21, 1958 – March 27, 2022)

              Mulford Calvin “Mutt” Pittman, 64 of Taylorsville, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 27, 2022, in Soso, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, January 21, 1958, in Laurel, Mississippi.

              Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 113 Front Street, Taylorsville, Mississippi.

              Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Brother Arthur Newman will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

              Mutt was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He worked in law enforcement for over ten years and then began his career at Sanderson Farm as a Plant Maintenance Supervisor for twenty-eight years.  He enjoyed fishing, working in the garden, and most of all spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

              He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Adam Pittman; father, James Mulford Pittman; grandparents, Luther & Ada Pittman and William & Dorothy Prince; nephew, Kenneth Michael Hilbun; and niece, Reanna Dawn Lowery.

              Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-six years, Therese Price Pittman of Taylorsville, MS; son, Christopher Moss of Taylorsville, MS; daughter, Elizabeth Pittman of Mize, MS; mother, Bertha Evelyn Prince Pittman; grandchildren, Whitney Whitehurst Thomas (Micah) of Taylorsville, MS, Shelby Whitehurst of Laurel, MS, Calvin Pittman of Forest, MS, Cannon Pittman of Forest, MS and Callie Pittman of Forest, MS; great grandchild, Aiden Thomas of Taylorsville, MS; brothers, Otis Earl Pittman (Amie) of Ovett, MS and William Carol Pittman (Karen) of Taylorsville, MS; sisters, Shirley Faye Pittman Hilbun of Taylorsville, MS, Clara Pittman McKinley of Taylorsville, MS, Claudia Jean Pittman Hernandez (David) of Taylorsville, MS, Ada Kaye Pittman Johnson (Steve) of Calhoun, MS, and Katherine Delk of Estabutchie; and a host of other family members and friends.
