The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man found deceased along Grand Gulf Road earlier this week as 60-year-old Todd Lavon Walker of Magee.
According to authorities, deputies responded to Grand Gulf Road at approximately 5:54 a.m. on August 24 after receiving a report of a person lying in a ditch who appeared to be deceased.
When deputies arrived, Walker was found dead at the scene.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation was contacted to assist with the investigation. Authorities have stated that no foul play is suspected at this time.
Claiborne County Sheriff Edward Goods and members of the Sheriff’s Office extended their condolences to Walker’s family and friends during this difficult time.
